EMERGENCY RESPONSE VEHICLE
This Project started life as a Barbie 'Star Traveller' (GMC Motorhome)
It was in a sorry state when I found it. I was put out for Rubbish collection. I took it away and
the project started.
I repaired the damaged Bodywork and took the opportunity to raise the body by 15mm and fit larger
wheels as the original Wheels were missing.
The interior was stripped out everything was washed to de-grease it and whole thing was then spray
Painted gloss Acrylic Black.
The interior was started next. The Seating was painted in Satin Black to simulate Vinyl. The Dashboard
was painted matt Black and Carpeting was fitted through out with Rubber Matting under the Driver and Passenger Seats.
The Units were then painted Brown with a darker Brown wash to simulate Wood. The Worktops were painted
Grey to give an Industrial feel. The Cooker and Fridge were also painted and detailed at this time.
The Windows were then glazed with thin Acrylic sheets although the Windscreen hasn't been done yet
as I may use a mesh grill for Riot Control etc. The Bodywork was then treated to two thin silver pinstripes to break up the
Black and exterior detailing was added.
Lastly the extra Roof Panels were made from Plastic Card to allow Figures to stand inside and to
close the hole!
And here we see it's hard worked Crew,look ready to go don't they?!
